Park Overview

  NanJing Pukou Economic Development Zone is located at PuKou New City that is next to WeiQi Road Yangze Tunnel .The zone was approved as a provincial level development zone in December of 1993 with a total planning land area 12.65 square km2.In August of 2008,NanJjing cross straight science&technology park has moved into Pukou Economic Development Zone with 16 square km2.The planning is “one-park two-area” which include science&technology area with 6 square km2 that is located at the west of WeiQi Road Yangze Tunnel and manufacturing area with 10 square km2 that is located at the east of QiaoLin New City. In July of 2009,according to the strategy of Pukou District Government , Pukou Economic Development Zone has fought to QiaoLin to do pioneering work again, which is in charge of the developing and capital operation of advanced manufacturing zone with 20 square km2(include 10 square km2 of Nanjing cross straight science&technology park ).
  Leading industries are Biomedicine,Electronic Information, Track Traffic, Equipment manufacturing and New energy&materials.
  According to the PuKou Government demanding: “unified command, unified management, unified dispatch ” .At present ,QiaoLin new area of PuKou Economic Development zone has launched into investment promotion, planning , project construction, bank loan etc. YuRun (China NanJing) Food Industry Park with 3 billion RMB, HaoTeng Electronic with 100 million dollar have signed agreement with PuKou zone, among of them YuRun will start to construct recently .At the same time ,a plenty of high quality investment
  In 2009,PuKou Economic Development Zone got industry sale income 17.308billon RMB which has increased by 17.42% over last year, budgetary receipts is 572million RMB which has increased by 41.83% over last year ,industry fixed assets investment is 3.188billionRMB which has increased by 23.95% over last year. Reality used foreign capital is 11.02 thousand dollar which has increased by 8.65% over last year.


New area of PuKou Economic Development Zone


  New area is a rare advanced manufacturing place, which is located in the middle of QiaoLin of PuKou, next to JaingBei New City, south of Yangtze River, north of Laoshan Mountain, along with Yangtze River ,from north to south stretched with smooth terrain, separated by Yangtze River to Nanjing downtown with convenient land an water transportation .New area, Nanjing New&High Technology Industry Development Zone and JiangBei New City form three plate with high-speed developing .

Introduction of Nanjing Cross-straits Science and Industry Park

  I.Nanjing-Taiwan cooperation after Taiwan enterprises development in Nanjing and Cross-straits direct transportation
  Nanjing is one of the hot regions for the efficient and frequent economy and trade exchanges with Taiwan. Every year, more 200,000 Taiwanese come to Nanjing. A great number of Taiwan enterprises settled down in Nanjing and those enterprises are the most important force in the export-oriented economic growth. By the end of 2008, more than 2,500 Taiwan projects and 1,000 enterprises had settled down in Nanjing. The amount of investment of Taiwan projects and enterprises, involving more than 30 industries such as photo-electricity, machinery, chemical and R&D, is 1/6 of the total foreign investment in Nanjing
  II.Basic Information
  In 1995, Nanjing Cross-straits Science and Industry Park was established in Nanjing New & High Technology Development Zone. The area of the park is 5 square kilometers and 2.3 square kilometers as the start period. After Cross-straits direct transportation was permitted, in order to enhance the cooperation with Taiwan and carry on Cross-river development strategy and general construct of Yangtze River Science Town, Nanjing Cross-straits Science and Industry Park was moved to Nanjing Pukou Economic Development Zone in August, 2008. The aim is to amplify the advantages of Weiqi Tunnel, connect CBD area in Hexi of the main city and construct Cross-river economic belt. At April 27, 2009, after the construction of the core area of New City Area in the north of Yangtze River, Nanjing Cross-straits Science and Industry Park was adjusted to be One Park with Two areas, including 5 square kilometers science and technology area and 10 square kilometers manufacturing area.
  Design Concept forms preliminarily. The first round of the conceptual plan of the Science and Industry Park has been basically confirmed. In a comprehensive analysis of the cross-river development tendency and learn from other advanced development zones such as Taiwan Xinzhu Industrial Park, we confirmed the orientations of Nanjing Cross-straits Science and Industry Park: build a Cross-straits economic and trade cooperation demonstration base, create high quality environment suitable for high-tech enterprises in business incubator, product a accumulation area for innovative and advanced manufacturing enterprises and make the Park a composite technology industry city with the most "ecologic, livable, innovative, dynamic" natures. Development plan is to build one park with two areas. The total area planned of the Park is about 15 square kilometers, of which 5 square kilometers science and technology area is in the south part if Weiqi tunnel, 10 square kilometers manufacturing area is in the east part of Qiaolin New Town. The theme of science and technology area is focusing on "innovation, ecologic and high-end”. The major task is to develop city industries such as software R & D, high-end business and real estate and its supporting projects, make use of Riverside resources, the ecological water and other natural landscape and with the use of circular economy concept to create the distinctive "R & D intelligence Valley". The theme of manufacturing area is laying importance on “advanced, concentrated and flexible”. Backing on the industrial base in science and technology area, the manufacturing area will introduce biomedicine, electronic information, new materials and new energy industries to settle down.
  III.Development Goal
  Concept of the goals: to give substantial support to scientific innovative companies, cultivate R&D and scientific industry transforming agencies, cooperate with universities and research institutions and seek domestic and overseas cooperation to establish a scientific innovative development zone with technology innovation, research and produce and equipment manufacturing industries; To encourage the recycle of reclaimed water, waste heat, waste industrial products, promote the enterprises in the park to be a symbiont in using industrial wastes and make the park the low-carbon one; to take environmental protection a pro-condition, control the sources of pollution through the enterprises’ monitoring system and the construction of ecological net system to improve environmental quality and make the park an ecological industry development zone; to built the park a collection of industrial, commercial and residential modern high-tech integrated towns with
perfect infrastructures and beautiful environment; to turn the park to be a new and high technology and strategic industrial incubator base in Nanjing.
  After 5 years unremitting effort, we can make the park a modern industrial park, demonstration zone of the industrial cooperation between the mainland and Taiwan with perfect supporting facilities and elegant ecosystem. In this 5 years time, the outputs will exceed 10 billion and financial revenue more than a billion. The employees in the park will be 120,000. The park will be a key economic support of the economic development of Pukou District in the future.
